The Negional Center for Next Generation Manufacturing (NCNGM) addresses the need for highly skilled workers in the manufacturing workplace by building programs that provide resources to educators and students interested in learning new technologies in manufacturing. The NCNGM is directed by the Connecticut College of Technology (CCOT), a virtual organization representing technology curriculum geared toward engineering and technical training offered at Connecticut's 12 community colleges. This video follows Beth's experience as the Director for Sustainability at Curtis Packaging, a company which produces custom paperboard folding products. Curtis Packaging was one of the first companies in its sector to implement an integrated strategy of sustainability. Beth discusses the importance of sustainability for both the environment and the company's bottom line. Beth discusses her interests in creating understandable data for process efficiency, promoting the importance of interpersonal skills, and the rewarding nature of her work.
